I’m a Small Business Owner, I Need Customers!!

I know, you’re a company of one. You’re responsible for all of the above, and it’s difficult to manage everything  AND figure out how to attract new customers.

Do you have a new product or service?

Have you revamped your business?

Has your business reached a milestone?

Have you moved to a different location?

An event planner can help! Your event planner can help you create an event that will support your business efforts and maximize the opportunity to touch as many people as possible. They offer an objective view of what can work for you, and provide a plan to bring it to fruition. Many event planners also have marketing experience, and this can work to your benefit as well. So what are you waiting for? In the blink of an eye, your planner can make some of your duties disappear.

Can you Spare a few Hundred??

So, unless you have a fully grown money tree in your backyard (if you do, please send me your address), you can appreciate any and all avenues to save a buck. Whne planning an event, it’s easy to get caught up in the excitement of the big day and forget that you will have to spend some money to have some fun. With that said, I’d like to give you a few tips to ease the pressure on your wallet.

1. Consider a less popular day…yes, Saturday is not to be your first choice.

2. Be selective. Resist feeling obligated to invite the whole world, remember that you will have to feed these folks.

3. Keep it simple. Uncomplicated , classy decor and uncomplicated, delicious food.

4. Make arrangements as early as possible. Avoid waiting until the last minute to book any travel and lodging.

5. Hire an event planner. Surely this was expected to be on the list 🙂

Whether you decide to hire a professional planner or not, it is important to know where your money is going. Hopefully these tips will help you get (and stay) on track.

Entrepreneur/Small Business Owner Love

Today’s post isn’t about event planning at all, I simply want to motivate entrepreneurs and small business owners. Excuse me while I gush….

And not just because I am one. I truly admire the people that are creative, innovative, passionate, competitive, slightly irrational, and embracers of craziness (totally said in love, I promise).  The entrepreneur/small business community is one that can be cutthroat, underhanded, and backstabbing, OR one that is interdependent, connected, and resource-filled. I prefer the latter, thank you very much :-).

It’s amazing to know that there are people out there that may not know you personally, but have traveled/are traveling the same road that you find yourself on today, and understand COMPLETELY.  They can either help you nurse your wounds, or kick you square in the rear and give you every bit of tough talk that you need.

So, what do you need today? I brought both hats, I’m here for ya!
